Modern Bay Strategies was founded in 2020, after co-founders Christopher and Kunal worked together on a presidential campaign, and saw the need for fresh, authentic voices in the intersection of data, policy, and creative.

There’s an undeniable gap in the marketing and digital worlds when it comes to understanding the people represented by the numbers we all analyze. There are so many missed opportunities to reach out and tell the right story that moves, excites, and motivates audiences. 

It’s time to flip the script. We look at data, and then we look beyond the data to the culture, communities, and individuals it represents. We do this by bringing together strong analysts and inspired artists who all have different backgrounds and experiences. 

Our team that consists of Black, Latino, AAPI, LGBTQ, and women-identifying experts has decades of experience working on campaigns and with organizations across the public, private, and political sectors. We’re bringing that experience to support clients we believe in while avoiding any of the stereotypical predatory consulting traps.
